Studio Daniel Rother is a graphic design studio, based in Berlin. Working at the intersection of art, design and fashion the studios work includes conceptual collaborations, art direction, and graphic design for institutions, art galleries, artists, and the creative industry. The studio is currently working on A Gesture is a Liquid with Melissa Gordon (Brussels) to be published with Anagram Books in 2018. Recently the studio finished a visual identiy for the exhibition Affect Me by KAI 10 (Düsseldorf), FU Berlin and Spector Books. In 2017 the studio collaborated with Ryan Trecartin (Los Angeles) on The Re’Search, published by Merve Verlag and with fashion photographer Alina Asmus (Berlin) on her new digital and printed identity. Among other projects the studio realised the visual identity for Weiss Berlin, a new gallery focusing on artists from LA and New York, that opened in January 2016. Additionally the studio collaborated with artist Shila Khatami (Berlin) on her first solo catalogue Straight Edge published by Distanz Verlag in Winter 2015 and with photographer Alice Rosati (Paris) on an Digital Editorial for Oksana Shachko and 032c Magazine.

Daniel Rother studied photography and graphic design at the School of Visual Arts, Leipzig, in the class for Typography and Systemdesign (2004 to 2008). From 2009 to 2011 he attended Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam with Linda van Deursen and Will Holder, 2011 Bachelor of Design (BDes). As part of his studio apprentice at Mevis & van Deursen he collaborated on the exhibition catalog Print/Out of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

In 2012/2013 his work has been supported by the Fonds BKVB.
